# Zoo photo systemThe moment they fed the giraffe, on their phone *before the next keeper talk.*

A host takes the photo while the family watches the animal. FilterPixel keeps the best frame, adds it to the family's private album and sends it to a parent's phone before they reach the next enclosure. They buy the day's photos with a tap. There is no booth at the gate and no kiosk queue at the exit.

The problem

## The best moment of the day happens once. *Most parents miss the photo.*

01

### Parents have their hands full

They are holding the bag, the pushchair and the feed cup when the giraffe leans in.

02

### The gate photo comes too early

A green screen at the entrance shows a stock tiger before the family has seen a real one.

03

### The exit kiosk meets tired children

By the time the family reaches the photo counter, nobody wants to queue.

The visitor journey

## From the entrance *to next year's visit.*

![Giraffes in an enclosure with visitors at the fence](https://filterpixel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/b2b/zoos/zo-giraffes-visitors-enclosure.jpg?width=560)

01 · AT THE GATE

### One parent, one selfie.

A parent scans a code at the gate and takes a selfie. The whole family shares one album, and children are never matched by face.

![Visitor's hand feeding a carrot to a giraffe](https://filterpixel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/b2b/zoos/zo-visitor-hand-feeding-giraffe.jpg?width=560)

02 · AT THE ENCOUNTER

### Your host gets the shot.

At the giraffe feed and the penguin walk, a host takes the photo on a phone while the keeper works.

03 · SECONDS LATER

### The one frame that worked.

DeepCull keeps the frame where the giraffe and the child are both looking, and drops the rest.

![Couple silhouetted in an aquarium tunnel](https://filterpixel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/b2b/zoos/zo-aquarium-tunnel-couple-silhouette.jpg?width=560)

04 · IN THE AQUARIUM

### Families photograph themselves in the tunnel.

A tablet on a stand does the work, with the sharks passing overhead.

![Phone photographing jellyfish in an aquarium](https://filterpixel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/b2b/zoos/zo-phone-photo-jellyfish.jpg?width=560)

05 · BEFORE THE NEXT TALK

### The day so far, on their phone.

New photos join the family album within minutes, ready to buy over lunch.

![Keeper feeding penguins from a bucket](https://filterpixel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/b2b/zoos/zo-keeper-feeding-penguins.jpg?width=560)

06 · AFTER THE VISIT

### The album waits for a year.

A reminder goes out before it closes, so the family can come back and buy from home.

**Running today** at conferences and brand events: best-frame selection, branded albums opened by QR code or selfie, and sharing. **Opening with our founding venues for the 2026–27 season:** the visit-long album, tablet photo spots, camera feeds, destination scenes, checkout, prints and the operator console.

More to sell

## Three more reasons *families say yes.*

Families

### One album for the whole family

One parent opts in and the whole family shares it, with children added by code, never by face.

Prints

### Printed at the gift shop or posted home

Send orders to the printer you already own, or post framed prints to the family's door.

Scenes

### Under the sea on a plain wall

A wall by the aquarium exit becomes your reef or shark tunnel, with no green screen.

Software, not hardware

## Every job the photo kiosks did. *Done on phones your team already carries.*

| The job | Hardware photo systems | FilterPixel |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Knowing whose photo it is | Printed photo cards and wristbands | A parent's selfie, or a code on their phone |
| Keeper encounters | A staffed photo point with a tethered camera | A host's phone |
| The entrance photo | A green-screen booth at the gate | A tablet on a stand, with the real zoo behind |
| Underwater tunnels | Triggered cameras and overhead rigs | A tablet, or any network camera. We pick the best frame |
| Ordering | A kiosk queue at the exit | The parent's own phone, at any point in the day |
| Prints | Dedicated print stations | The shop printer by the exit, or posted home |
| Opening a second site | Ship, install and maintain equipment | Log in and print a new code |

Hardware photo systems include GoPhoto, Image Insight and Pomvom. Equipment and features vary by vendor. FilterPixel also works alongside cameras and printers you already have.

For operators

## Your team takes the photos. *The money stays with the zoo.*

No concession takes a share of each sale and no equipment is leased. One console covers the zoo, the aquarium and the safari park.

### What you control

- **The day at a glance**Families photographed, albums opened and sales for each encounter and each hour.
- **Day and family prices**Set them yourself and change them for school holidays.
- **Your zoo on every photo**Logo, frame and animal scenes are added as photos arrive.
- **Zoo, aquarium and safari park**All your sites report into one place.
- **Follow-up after the visit**A reminder goes to each family before their album closes.
- **Keeping and deleting photos**You choose the period, and face data is removed with the photos.
- **Income in your account**Photo sales are paid to the zoo through your own payment provider.
- **Your ticketing data**Bring bookings in before the visit so albums are ready at the gate.

Guest privacy

### Families stay in control

Finding photos by selfie is opt-in and for adults only, and you can switch it off for a whole site. Visitors who prefer not to use it get the same album with a code. Children are never matched by face: they join through an adult's album or a code. Anyone can delete their album and face data from their phone, and you decide how long photos are kept. Rules on face data differ by country and state, including the [GDPR](https://gdpr-info.eu/art-9-gdpr/), so confirm the setup for each site with your own counsel.

Who it's for

## For places where *the animals never pose twice.*

01

### Zoos and wildlife parks

Entrance, encounters and seasonal trails go into one album for the day.

02

### Aquariums

The tunnel and the big tank become photo spots with a tablet on a stand.

03

### Safari and farm parks

Drivers and guides shoot on a phone, and photos sync when they are back in signal.

04

### Zoo photo concessionaires

You can cover more sites with the same team and nothing to ship.

Quick answer

## What is a zoo photo system?

A zoo photo system runs a zoo's or aquarium's visitor photo programme. It photographs families at the entrance and at animal encounters, gets each photo to the right family, and sells albums and prints. Older systems need a green-screen booth at the gate, printed photo cards and kiosks at the exit. FilterPixel does the same job on phones and tablets your team already has, and delivers to the parent's own phone.

1. **Capture**A host's phone at the encounter, or a tablet.
2. **Deliver**One family album, updated through the day.
3. **Sell**On the phone, during the visit and after it.

FAQ

## Zoo photo system FAQ

What is a zoo photo system?

Software that runs a zoo's or aquarium's photo programme from the encounter to the sale. It gets each family's photos into one album and sells downloads and prints on a parent's phone, during the day and afterwards.

Do we need a green-screen booth, wristbands or kiosks?

No. Hosts shoot on a phone, a tablet on a stand covers the entrance, and families buy on their own phones. FilterPixel also works alongside cameras and a shop printer you already have.

How do keeper encounters get photographed?

A host or keeper takes a short burst on a phone and the best frame is chosen automatically. The keeper stays focused on the animal and the visitors.

How are children's photos handled?

Children are never matched by face. A parent opts in with a selfie or uses a code, and photos of the children join the family album through that adult or the code. School and group visits use the group leader's code.

Which parts are live today?

Automatic selection of the best frame, one consistent edit, branded albums opened by QR code or opt-in selfie, and sharing run today on DeepCull and FilterPixel Live at conferences and brand events. The visit-long album, tablet photo spots, camera feeds, destination scenes, guest checkout, prints, reminders after the visit and the operator console open with our founding venues for the 2026–27 season.

How do underwater tunnel photos work?

A tablet or a network camera in the tunnel photographs the real thing, and the best frame is picked automatically. A plain wall can also become your reef or shark tank, with the background added in software.

Does it work across a large outdoor site?

Yes. Photos upload as small files, and phones keep shooting without signal and sync when they reconnect. Coverage is checked at each photo spot before you start.

Where do families collect prints?

At the gift shop. Orders print on a printer the shop already owns for pickup at the exit, or are posted home.

Is finding photos by selfie safe and legal?

It is opt-in, for adults only, and can be switched off for a whole site. Children are never matched by face; their photos join the family album through an adult or a code. Guests can delete their album and face data at any time, and because rules vary by country and state you should confirm the setup with your own counsel.

How is it priced?

A platform fee per venue and a fee per order, with no equipment to buy or lease. Terms are agreed in writing before you start.
