LIVEFor wedding photographers & studios

Wedding photo sharing with face recognitionEvery guest's best photos, while the function is still going.

Guests scan a QR code, take a selfie and get their own photos from the haldi, mehendi, sangeet, wedding and reception on their phones. Only your best frames go out: culled, edited to one look and carrying your logo. No app.

Live event delivery, proven at events including Google for Startups events in India and the ET Global Business Summit. Selfie matching is opt-in for adults, and guests under 18 are never face-matched.

Quick answer

What is wedding photo sharing with face recognition?

It lets each wedding guest find the photos they appear in. Guests scan a QR code at the venue, agree to matching and take a selfie, then see only their own photos in the browser. FilterPixel adds the steps guest sharing apps skip: your best frames are culled and edited before anything is shared, and every photo carries your studio's brand.

  1. CullBest frame of every burst. Blinks, blur and duplicates out.
  2. MatchQR code, plus an opt-in selfie for adult guests.
  3. DeliverOn guests' phones, under your brand, during the function.

The expiring moment

Five functions, three days. Guests leave before the photos are ready.

  1. Day 1 · Haldi

Your team shoots every splash of turmeric. Relatives start asking for their photos.

  2. Day 2 · Mehendi & sangeet

Guests post shaky phone photos instead. Your best work never reaches the family group.

  3. Day 3 · Wedding & reception

Everyone travels home. The gallery link arrives after the moment has passed.

  4. With FilterPixel

Guests get their best, branded photos at each function, and share them while it's still happening.

Consent

Is face recognition allowed at weddings, and what about children?

Only with clear consent. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 asks for consent that is free, specific and informed, defines a child as anyone under 18, and requires verifiable parental consent before a child's data is processed. The GDPR treats biometric data used to identify people as special-category data. So FilterPixel asks each adult guest before any selfie, uses it only to find that guest's photos, and never face-matches guests under 18. You can also run a wedding with no face matching at all. Check with your own counsel.

FAQ

Wedding photo sharing with face recognition FAQ

There are three common ways: a shared album or QR code upload app where guests add their own phone photos, a gallery link from the photographer after the wedding, or face recognition, where each guest takes a selfie and sees only the photos they appear in. FilterPixel does the third with the photographer's culled, edited photos while the celebration is still going, and can run with no face matching when a family prefers it.

It depends on the job. Guest photo-sharing apps such as Samaro, Kwikpic and TurtlePic focus on sharing uploads with face search, and gallery platforms such as Pixieset and Pic-Time focus on client galleries. FilterPixel is built around the photographer's workflow: it culls and edits first, then delivers each guest's best photos during the celebration under your brand, with no app.

Guests scan a QR code at the venue, agree to matching and take a selfie in their phone's browser. Face recognition finds the photos they appear in and shows only those. No app, email address or phone number is needed.

Use it only with clear consent. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 defines a child as anyone under 18 and requires verifiable parental consent before a child's data is processed, and the GDPR treats biometric data used to identify people as special-category data. FilterPixel asks each adult guest before any selfie and never face-matches guests under 18. Check with your own counsel.

Yes. FilterPixel can run a wedding with no face matching at all, for example when a family prefers it. Guests still reach the photos through the QR code, without a selfie.

Only the best. DeepCull's wedding culling scores each photo on six criteria, each with a reason, keeps the best frame of every burst and removes blur, closed eyes and near-duplicates before anything is shared.

Yes. Your team uploads as each function runs, from the haldi and mehendi to the sangeet, wedding and reception, and guests get their photos while that function is still going. We plan the setup for a multi-day wedding with you in the demo.

Yes. Guests scan a QR code and everything opens in the phone's browser, and guests don't have to give an email address or phone number.

Yes. Your logo or watermark is added to every photo guests receive, so each photo they share carries your studio's name.

A live highlights feed for the couple is coming soon. Ask about it when you book a demo.

Live prints at the venue are available today. Paid guest downloads and print ordering for sale are coming soon.

Guest sharing apps and shared albums are built to pass on whatever is uploaded. FilterPixel starts with the photographer: culling and one consistent edit first, then each guest's best photos delivered under your brand, with consent first and no face matching for anyone under 18. Features vary by vendor and plan, so check each vendor's current documentation.

FilterPixel's terms are agreed per wedding or per studio, in writing. How you price guest delivery to your couples, as part of a package or as an add-on, is up to you.
