It shouldn't, and finishing is designed so it doesn't. FilterPixel enhances the photo you took: it replaces the backdrop, crops, and softens temporary blemishes while keeping real skin texture. It does not generate faces or features, or reshape anyone. Portraits of children are processed only to finish them for your studio. Retention and access are set in your agreement.

It depends on the job. Editing apps such as Imagen and Evoto apply a learned style or one-click retouching, outsourced services such as Color Clipping finish images to written instructions, and picture-day platforms such as GotPhoto handle ordering. FilterPixel focuses on finishing every portrait to one spec: backdrop, head-size crop and light cleanup. Portrait finishing is in early access.

Set the spec before anyone edits: backdrops, crop and head size, and how much cleanup is allowed. Apply it in batches, check a sample from every class or team, and fix outliers instead of retouching one file at a time. FilterPixel's portrait finishing applies one spec across a whole picture day and flags files for a person, in early access.

The finishing step between picture day and delivery: replacing the backdrop, cropping every portrait to the same head size and framing, and lightly cleaning up temporary blemishes, consistently across thousands of subjects.

The green backdrop is separated from the subject, edges around hair and clothing are cleaned, and your approved backgrounds go behind. In early access, files with leftover green edges are flagged for a person.

The PSPA Digital Data & Image Format Guidelines cover how portrait files and data go to yearbook publishers: sRGB JPEGs at 320 × 400 or 640 × 800 pixels (a 0.8 aspect ratio), and an INDEX.TXT data file. The 2013–14 edition says it does not address capture or editing, so head size and framing are set by your studio, lab or publisher. Check the current edition with your publisher. FilterPixel crops to the spec you give it and is not PSPA certified.

That is the aim of early access. You set head size and position, every portrait is cropped to match, and files that can't meet it, like a subject at the frame edge, are flagged instead of forced.
