Google regularly hosts conferences and community-led events that bring together speakers, partners, and attendees across technology and business ecosystems.
These events are designed to create live engagement on stage, on the floor, and across digital channels and while the event is still in progress, visual content plays an important role in extending that engagement beyond the venue in real time.
The marketing team at Google highlighted a recurring challenge.
While photos were being captured throughout the sessions, the time taken to deliver those photos to end users was too long. Images of keynote speakers and key guests, often the most valuable moments for visibility were not available during the event itself.
Today, these photos typically reach stakeholders 48 to 72 hours after the event ends. By that time, the excitement has faded. Speakers and attendees who initially intend to share their photos often lose the motivation to post altogether.
The marketing team wanted to change this dynamic.
Their objective was to enable real-time photo availability, so that keynote speakers, guests, and attendees could receive and share high-quality photos while the event was still live. This would allow the event’s reach to be amplified at the moment when interest, attention, and engagement were at their peak.
FilterPixel worked closely with the event photography team to enable real-time photo access during the event.
As photos were captured and processed, they were published to a live event gallery accessible via a QR code placed across the venue. Attendees could scan the QR code, take a quick selfie, and instantly receive their event photos—branded and ready to share.
This allowed attendees and speakers to access professional photos while the event was still ongoing, not days later.
In parallel, FilterPixel set up a centralized content hub for the marketing team.
This hub provided immediate access to all high-quality photos captured during the event, organized and ready for use. The team could quickly select, download, and distribute images across social channels while sessions were still live—using approved branding and event-specific hashtags.
With photos available instantly, sharing became frictionless.
Attendees and speakers could post their photos to social platforms with a single click, complete with event branding and predefined hashtags. This enabled organic amplification of the event in real time, while interest and engagement were at their peak.
From the marketing team’s perspective, the shift to real-time availability changed how photography supported the event. Instead of waiting for galleries after the event, visuals could be used immediately:
Photography moved from documentation to live amplification.
Following the event, the Google team highlighted three capabilities that were especially impactful in supporting real-time engagement while maintaining a high standard of experience.
The Sharing Module enabled attendees to receive their photos during the event itself and share them instantly on social media. This allowed moments from the event, especially key sessions and speaker interactions to be amplified while the event was still live.
With the Privacy Module, the organizers were able to deliver photos to attendees without collecting personal information such as email addresses or phone numbers. This ensured a frictionless experience for attendees while meeting internal privacy and data-handling expectations.
The Print Module allowed attendees to receive physical prints of their photos during the event. After taking a selfie, attendees could access their photos and select their favorite moments to print on the spot, creating a tangible takeaway and a memorable on-ground experience.
If you’re a marketer looking to make event photography usable in real time or elevate how your event experience extends beyond the venue, FilterPixel LIVE helps make that possible.
