If your work lives or dies on skin, portrait cleanup and body shaping, Evoto does things FilterPixel does not do at all — we would rather tell you that now than waste your trial. But Evoto added AI culling only in late 2025, and it charges credits that are consumed when you export. If you are shooting 3,000 frames an event and the hours are going on choosing which ones to touch at all, that is a different problem and a different tool. ## Why photographers look for something else at volume ### Culling is the newest thing it does Evoto's AI culling arrived in autumn 2025, long after its retouching. It flags blur, exposure problems and closed eyes. That is technical rejection, not editorial selection: it will tell you a frame is sharp, not that it is the frame where the speaker made the point. ### Credits meter your output, so the cull decides the bill Evoto sells annual credit packs and states “From 1 credit per photo”: 800 credits for $80 a year at the bottom, 24,000 for $1,205 at the top — $0.100 per credit falling to $0.050. Shoot 3,000 frames at an event and run all of them through, and even the largest pack covers eight events a year. Cull to 400 keepers first and the same pack covers sixty. In a credit model, culling is not a nice-to-have, it is the cost control. ### You pay at the wrong end of the funnel A culling tool's job is to make the big number small before anything expensive happens. A credit model charges you at export — after the work. We do not offer these. - Your volumes are low enough that per-credit pricing is cheaper than a subscription. A 3,000 frame event culled to 400 keepers spends 400 credits instead of 3,000.
